40 Year Old Virgin star, Steve Carell reprises his role as the polished, preening newscaster Evan Baxter of Bruce Almighty. Except this time, God has a task for him – building an ark.

When he’s not building arks or collecting animals, Golden Globe winner Steve Carell spends his time as Michael Scott the pretentious boss in NBC’s The Office. But, before running The Office, Carell was a correspondent on The Daily Show, played a passive-aggressive ex-boyfriend on Watching Ellie and was a writer and regular performer on The Dana Carvey Show.

With his comic talents in tow, Carell joined the cast of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. It was his performance in Anchorman and Bruce Almighty that gave him breakout success and notoriety as a comic genius. After his success in these roles, the Evan Almighty star took on the role of Samantha’s favorite uncle and family clown Uncle Arthur in Bewitched.

The box office hit The 40 Year Old Virgin was next on Carell’s menu of big screen successes. He portrayed the film’s lead character, Andy Stitzer, and co-wrote the screenplay with Judd Apatow. The film grossed over $170 million worldwide and earned the actor a MTV Movie Award and Writer’s Guild of America nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

In 2006, Carell who supplied the voice for Hammy in the animated film Over the Hedge. Carell joined the cast of Little Miss Sunshine, an independent film starring Greg Kinear and Toni Collette, as Frank. In 2007, he and the cast won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture for the film.

The Evan Almighty star won a Golden Globe in 2006 for his work on The Office. He has also received an Emmy nomination in 2005 for the same.

Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman reprises his Bruce Almighty role as God in Evan Almighty.

The Golden Globe winner got his acting start on Broadway in the late sixties in the African American version of Hello Dolly! He then moved on to acting for The Children’s Television Workshop as The Electric Company favorite Easy Reader. He made the leap to the big screen a year later in the children’s adventure Who Says I can’t Ride a Rainbow.

Freeman transitioned to adult roles in the 1973 thriller Blade, followed by Julius Caesar and Coriolanus. Steady work came through the mid seventies and early eighties in the prison dramas Attica, Brubaker, Eyewitness and Death of a Prophet in which he portrayed Malcolm X.

Freeman continued to work in both film and television throughout the eighties. He appeared in the soaps Ryan’s Hope and Another World. He also appeared in The Atlanta Child Murders, That Was Then, This is Now and The Execution of Raymond Graham.

The late eighties were filled with many successes for the Evan Almighty star. In 1987, he earned his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of hoodlum, Fast Black, in Street Smart. He finished the decade with his second Oscar nomination and first Golden Globe win for Driving Miss Daisy which co-starred Jessica Tandy. Lean on Me, the story of teacher Joe Clark, and Glory, the Civil War epic costarring Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick followed.

With the nineties came a succession of additional box office hits for Freeman. He starred in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven and pursued serial killers in Seven with Brad Pitt and Kiss the Girls with Ashley Judd. He received his third Oscar nomination for his portrayal of prisoner Red Redding in The Shawshank Redemption.

Since 2000, Freeman has starred in a number of successful films including Nurse Betty, Along Came a Spider, The Sum of All Fears and Bruce Almighty the prequel to Evan Almighty. He teamed up with Clint Eastwood again for Million Dollar Baby, which garnered him his first Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor.

Golden Globe nominated actress Lauren Graham plays the supportive and often frustrated wife of Evan Baxter in Evan Almighty.

Graham is best known as the sarcastic, quick witted Lorelei Gilmore in the Gilmore Girls. She received Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Television Critics of America nominations for her work in the series.

The Evan Almighty co-star has had rising success as an actress, beginning with a recurring role as Richard’s girlfriend Shelly in the first season of Caroline in the City. Additional recurring roles followed. She played an efficiency expert on News Radio and as a studio executive pursuing Benjamin Bratt’s Law and Order character. She also guest starred on 3rd Rock from the Sun and Seinfeld.

The character Lorelei Gilmore gave Graham the big break and notoriety that helped her transition from television to the big screen. Tom Shadyac, Gary Barber and Steve Oedekerk Unite to Deliver Evan Almighty, the Bruce Almighty Sequel

Evan Almighty director Tom Shadyac is an acclaimed writer, director and producer. He began his career as a gag writer for Bob Hope in the mid-eighties.

In 1994, he landed a job as co-writer and director of Ace Venture: Pet Detective. The film made Jim Carrey a box office success, grossing more than $200 million worldwide.

In 1996, Eddie Murphy hired Shadyac to assist in the remake of The Nutty Professor. That same year Shadyac reunited with Carrey to make Liar, Liar, another box office smash that grossed more than $100 million. Shadyac followed this success in 1998 directing Patch Adams.

His biggest success to date came when he and Jim Carrey teamed p again on Bruce Almighty. Evan Almighty is the highly anticipated sequel to the film.

Multi-talented entertainment guru Steve Oedekerk penned the screenplay for Evan Almighty.

A writer, director, producer and stand-up comic, Oedekerk has written, directed and produced films that have grossed billions at the box office. Through his company, O Entertainment, he has created, directed and produced kid favorites for Nickelodeon and top selling television specials and feature films. It is this wide range of creativity that keeps him busy entertaining audiences of all tastes and demographics.

While working on In Living Color with Jim Carrey, Oedekerk wrote Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. After the film’s success, he was asked to write the sequel, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. This film surpassed the box office success of the original.

The next high grossing film Oedekerk co-wrote was The Nutty Professor, starring Eddie Murphy. It turned out to be the highest grossing film of 1996.

Nothing to Lose, starring Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins followed. Oedekerk wrote, directed and appeared in the film. He also wrote the Golden Globe nominated Patch Adams, starring Robin Williams.

The Evan Almighty writer has written and produced a number of animations, including The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius which was nominated Best Animated Film by the Animated Film Academy.

Oedekerk penned the storyline for Bruce Almighty, starring Jim Carrey. It is no surprise he was called on to write the sequel Evan Almighty.

Prior to filling the shoes as producer of the new Tom Shadyac movie, Evan Almighty, Gary Barber produced the highly successful Bruce Almighty. The film grossed $465 million worldwide.

As founder of Spyglass Entertainment, Barber seemed to have the golden touch when it came to movies right from the start. The first film through his company was the The Sixth Sense, starring Bruce Willis. This film grossed over $660 million and earned six academy award nominations.

More Oscar nominations followed for the film The Insider, starring Al Pacino. Other successes included Keeping the Faith with Ben Stiller, Shanghai Noon and its sequel Shanghai Knights with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson and The Recruit with Colin Farrell and Al Pacino.

The Evan Almighty producer has produced or executive produced more than 50 movies and television shows. His feature films produced include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls – the film franchise that propelled Jim Carrey to fame.

Barber’s company has claimed a total of 26 Academy Award nominations. Rob Marshall’s Memoirs of a Geisha won three Oscars out of its six nominations.

In addition to the Evan Almighty movie, Barber has produced a number of films, which are scheduled to be released through 2008. These include Underdog, Balls of Fury, 27 Dresses and Bunny Lake is Missing.
