In Evan Almighty, the highly anticipated sequel to Bruce Almighty, God names Evan his modern day Noah. The comedy ensues when Evan refuses to follow the orders God issues. Birds flock to him in twos along with other animal couples, his beard grows back as soon as he shaves it off and he grows old before his time – literally.
Evan eventually gives in to God. After all, who can say no to God? He gathers his family together to build the ark. When his friends and constituents lose faith in him, his family supports him as God takes them on a wild and hysterically funny ride.

Evan Almighty makes its way to theaters on June 22 by the divine authority of Universal Pictures. Tom Shadyac (Bruce Almighty, The Nutty Professor, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective) directs the award winning and hilarious cast that also includes Lauren Graham, John Goodman and Wanda Sykes. Gary Barber produced and Steve Oedekerk penned the screenplay.
